On Saturday we had to take advantage of the beautiful weather and headed to the river. Bob, Maddie and I, CeCe, Tim and Jan were ready for a fun day in the sun. This was Maddie's first time on a boat so we were not sure how she would react.

We stopped on a sand bar to visit some friends and let Maddie play on the beach. I couldn't believe how much she loved playing in the river. The girl has no fear and kept wanting to go farther out. She didn't quite understand that it would get deeper the farther she went and then would get mad when she would get water in her ears or face.
On our way back, Maddie thought she would try to drive the boat. She has the need for speed and kept telling Mr. Fun (aka Tim) to go faster. It was pretty cute and we all had a great day on the water even if we were a little sun burnt.

The food was excellent and we tried deep fried pickle for the first time. They served them with a ranch dip and it was really good! I would definitely try them again.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and enjoyed spending time together!
