Ball and Baby

Last Saturday a few of us girls went out to dinner and then to the bridesmaid ball. It was a fundraiser for the Gillette Children's hospital and a chance f0r girls to put on their old bridesmaid dresses and hit the dance floor. There were so many styles and a grand march to boot. I was the only preggo one and glad I still could fit into a bridesmaid dress. The last time I wore that dress was for Lynelle's wedding 10 yrs ago! It was a great girls night out and for a good cause. Can't wait for next years!!!

21 weeks

We had another ultrasound today and everything looked great! I was glad the we got confirmation that we are having another GIRL!!!! We are really excited and can't wait to meet her in August! The baby weighs about 15.8 oz and is right on track for a due date of Aug. 1oth.

Last week I finished painting the basement wall that the boys drywalled and our new carpet goes in tomorrow. I can't wait for it to be done and get everything back in order. This weekend my parents and Michelle and Matt will be here for Easter. Bob is going to put the boys to work as he tries to finish putting up the drywall in our garage. We have so many projects to finish before the baby comes. I know we need to do them one at a time but I'm not very patient and want it all done yesterday. Bob has been working really hard to get things done and I appreciate and love him so much!

Another busy few weeks...

Potty training Maddie has been an adventure! She will do really good for a few days and then will go backwards. I wish I knew the secret trick for it to click for her. She knows what to do but is just plain stubborn some days. We keep on trying but it is my hope to have her trained by her birthday. I still have about four weeks so we will see how it goes???

It was great having Michelle and Matt here for the weekend. Matt and Bob finished putting up the drywall the basement and it is looking great! We need to prime and paint this week with the hopes of our new carpet going in next week. Michelle sang with me Sunday morning at church and it went very well. I only wish that we could sing together more often.

19 weeks

20 weeks!! Half way there!!!


Yes, I know that I'm huge but very glad that I fell so good. Our ultrasound is next week and I hope that we will get a definite answer on the gender of the baby. I'm still going with girl until I'm told otherwise. Bob and I have started talking about names but it's always a hard thing for us. We still have some time and I'm sure we will agree on one before the baby is born.

We had a nice visit last weekend in Rochester with Bob's family. We cleaned out a lot of stuff from Bob's mom's house so they can get it ready to sell. It was an emotional task to do on the kids and we still have some more boxes to go through. I have more painting to do this weekend to get our basement ready for new carpet. It's a project, but will be nice when it's done!

Ultrasound and Mom visit

I have been wanting to update about my week but once again the days have gotten away from me. My mom flew in late Monday night and was excited to go to our ultrasound and Dr. appointment with us. We dropped Maddie off at daycare because we knew it would be a long appt. Everything on our ultrasound looked great! The heartbeat was 148 and the baby weighed about 7 oz. I'm amazed at how much we could see and what a miracle I am carrying!

Our tech had a hard time determining the gender of the baby. She gave us a 80% chance that it's another girl!!! They will do another ultrasound in 4 weeks to make sure the kidneys are functioning well since they were a little hard to see. I'm 17 weeks and they said it would show up better in a few more weeks. Hopefully we will get a definite answer if it's a boy or girl?? We got some nice profile pictures and our baby is a little mover. I love that I feel her(???) everyday and lets me know she's doing well.

After our appointment we picked up Maddie and went to lunch. Us girls had a full day of shopping and Maddie was such a good girl. I'm glad that she likes to shop just like her mama and after a few treats and a cute little purse from Grammy, she was set. It was a great day! I'm so glad that I got to share that with my mom and I know it meant a lot to her too. She left early the next day but it really was a great visit! Fast for her...but so worth it!!!

Our garage addition is finished and we are both really happy with it! Bob has to do the electrical inside and the trim still needs to be painted. We will have to wait for the weather to warm up here even though it has been beautiful! Last weekend I decided to paint the trim in our basement. It was a job, but turned out great! I think it brightened up the basement and I'm so excited to get that project finished. Matt and Michelle will come up in a few weeks to help and I need to get most of it done my Maddie's birthday. She will be 3 in six weeks! Where has the time gone???
