Maddie's Dance Recital

My little Madelyn had her first dance recital last weekend. My mom and sister came up for the show and we were so proud of her. She was smiles the whole time on stage and did such a good job!She looks so grown up here!

The minute Maddie came off stage, she was ready to go back on! She was in the beginning half of the show and we had to wait in a tiny dressing room with a bunch of other toddlers until the grand finale. The kids did so well and I'm looking forward to getting the DVD so I can watch the performance.

Maddie loves to feel the baby move and talk to the baby. She is going to be a GREAT big sister!!

Birthday weekend and pregnancy pics!

I seem to post things a week late, but better late then never! I had a fabulous birthday weekend! It started by getting off of work early on Friday and heading down to Rochester to meet Bob's family. The house that he grew up in is now for sale so we went to Harmony to check it out and have a nice dinner with the rest of the crew.Saturday morning we left Maddie with CeCe and went to Minneapolis. We had a full day planned with lunch at PF Changs and shopping at the Albertville Outlets. I have to say that I scored at the Coach store and we had a great time...at least I did:)

Bob and I stayed downtown Minneapolis and went out for dinner at The News Room. It was only a few blocks from our hotel and the food was really good. The best part of it was getting to spend some quality time with my hubby! We were way overdue!!!
Maddie had a busy day with Cece. She went swimming at the YMCA and out to visit a friend and see the horses! Maddie also visited Grandma Phyllis and had a full day! Cece was gracious enough to bring Maddie up to the cities and we took Maddie to the Mall of America. We met Michelle and Matt and had lunch at The Rainforest Cafe! We took Maddie on a few rides and she did so good by herself!

She operated the Blue's Clue ride and made it go up and down! She is such a big girl and was full of smiles. Two rides was enough for her and it was time to move on.

She got her face painted and of course she picked a princess castle to be drawn of her cheek. She sat so well and it even had pretty sparkles!

Our last stop was Build-a-Bear! She picked out a soft, pink bear with a Sleeping Beauty outfit. She ended up naming her Beauty Bear and we were ready to head home after that. We had another full day, but it was great!
The rough part came late Sunday night. I just wasn't feeling like myself and went to bed. I woke up Monday morning sick to my stomach and really weak. I stayed in bed most of the day and just slept. I got sick in the afternoon and was completely wore out. I worked a half day on Tuesday and it took all week for me to start feeling good. I hope no one else ends up getting the same thing that I had...it wasn't any fun.

The pregnancy seems to be going so fast and for the most part have been doing really well. My belly is getting pretty big and the baby moves the most at night. Maddie was laying across my stomach the other night and felt the baby kick. I think she thought that was pretty funny! I love how she kisses my belly and talks and sings to the baby. She is going to be a great big sister!!!
The highlight of the week has been how well Maddie has done on the potty chair. She finally went poop and is getting the hang of it. I have been putting a pull-up on her at night but that's all! She has done a great job of telling us when she has to go and with no accidents. I'm so proud of our girl!!!

Bob works this weekend so we don't have anything planned for Mother's Day. I am so blessed that I get to be a Mom and so thankful for the fabulous example I was given. Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful Mom! I can't imagine you not in my life. You are the most giving person I know and it is my wish to be just like you and have the same relationship with my daughters that you do yours!
