My little Madelyn had her first dance recital last weekend. My mom and sister came up for the show and we were so proud of her. She was smiles the whole time on stage and did such a good job!
She looks so grown up here!
The minute Maddie came off stage, she was ready to go back on! She was in the beginning half of the show and we had to wait in a tiny dressing room with a bunch of other toddlers until the grand finale. The kids did so well and I'm looking forward to getting the DVD so I can watch the performance.

Birthday weekend and pregnancy pics!
I seem to post things a week late, but better late then never! I had a fabulous birthday weekend! It started by getting off of work early on Friday and heading down to Rochester to meet Bob's family. The house that he grew up in is now for sale so we went to Harmony to check it out and have a nice dinner with the rest of the crew.
Saturday morning we left Maddie with CeCe and went to Minneapolis. We had a full day planned with lunch at PF Changs and shopping at the Albertville Outlets. I have to say that I scored at the Coach store and we had a great time...at least I did:)

Bob and I stayed downtown Minneapolis and went out for dinner at The News Room. It was only a few blocks from our hotel and the food was really good. The best part of it was getting to spend some quality time with my hubby! We were way overdue!!!
Maddie had a busy day with Cece. She went swimming at the YMCA and out to visit a friend and see the horses! Maddie also visited Grandma Phyllis and had a full day! Cece was gracious enough to bring Maddie up to the cities and we took Maddie to the Mall of America. We met Michelle and Matt and had lunch at The Rainforest Cafe! We took Maddie on a few rides and she did so good by herself!

She operated the Blue's Clue ride and made it go up and down! She is such a big girl and was full of smiles. Two rides was enough for her and it was time to move on.

She got her face painted and of course she picked a princess castle to be drawn of her cheek. She sat so well and it even had pretty sparkles!
Our last stop was Build-a-Bear! She picked out a soft, pink bear with a Sleeping Beauty outfit. She ended up naming her Beauty Bear and we were ready to head home after that. We had another full day, but it was great!

The rough part came late Sunday night. I just wasn't feeling like myself and went to bed. I woke up Monday morning sick to my stomach and really weak. I stayed in bed most of the day and just slept. I got sick in the afternoon and was completely wore out. I worked a half day on Tuesday and it took all week for me to start feeling good. I hope no one else ends up getting the same thing that I had...it wasn't any fun.

The pregnancy seems to be going so fast and for the most part have been doing really well. My belly is getting pretty big and the baby moves the most at night. Maddie was laying across my stomach the other night and felt the baby kick. I think she thought that was pretty funny! I love how she kisses my belly and talks and sings to the baby. She is going to be a great big sister!!!
The highlight of the week has been how well Maddie has done on the potty chair. She finally went poop and is getting the hang of it. I have been putting a pull-up on her at night but that's all! She has done a great job of telling us when she has to go and with no accidents. I'm so proud of our girl!!!
Bob works this weekend so we don't have anything planned for Mother's Day. I am so blessed that I get to be a Mom and so thankful for the fabulous example I was given. Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful Mom! I can't imagine you not in my life. You are the most giving person I know and it is my wish to be just like you and have the same relationship with my daughters that you do yours!

Maddie's 3 year check up and pregnancy pictures!
Maddie had her 3 year old check up today. She weighed 35 lbs and was 38" tall. She falls into the 75-90 % and is a healthy girl. She did pretty well but acted really shy around the Dr. which is nothing like Maddie at all. They did a hearing and eye exam and she did very well at that too. It's amazing that she wont have to be seen again for another year. We have been so blessed to have such a healthy girl! She has only been to the doctor a few times besides her wellness check ups and we hope to keep it that way.

Maddie's 3rd Birthday
We had another crazy week at our house preparing for Maddie's 3rd birthday party. It started off with me painting our bedroom the Sunday before. New carpet installed in our room and spare room in the basement and putting that room together on Tuesday. Cleaning on Wednesday. Bob having hernia surgery on Thursday and our new furniture delivered on Friday morning. I finished putting things back together and a little decorating just as my parents arrived on Friday afternoon. It was a whirlwind week, but we managed to get everything done before the party on Saturday!!!!
It was a surprise for Maddie since she didn't know that Dalen was coming for her party. They played so well together and had a blast on the swing set!
Of coarse, Papa was the one who pushed the best and the highest! They were outside any opportunity that we gave them!
This year was a princess themed birthday party and she really loved her princess bike that she got from Julie. She can't wait to ride it to the park but she still has to learn how to pedal and not give up right away.

She got so spoiled from everyone at the party! We grilled burgers and hot dogs, had chips, salsa, fruit tray and pasta salad! Everything was tasty and we all had a good time!
Bob's sisters came from Rochester too so we had a house full! The more the merrier!
Sunday, we decided to take the kids up to Enger Tower and Canal Park in Duluth. It was a sunny day and the kids had fun playing in the park and chasing each other.
Papa and Grammy with the two oldest grand babies. Dalen and Maddie are 11 months
apart and are great pals!

I only wished we lived closer and they could play together more often!
The kids kept us busy and the weekend went too fast! We took Maddie and Dalen to the lighthouse in Canal park and they liked to watch the boats in the water. I was glad it was such a nice day with not a lot of wind so the kids had fun! We look forward to the next time that Dalen comes to visit!
I still can't believe that my baby is 3! She is such a big girl and we have fun just hanging out together! She will be a great big sister and helper when our new little one arrives. Now, if I could just get her completely potty trained we would be doing good...oh boy!!!!

Easter and more
We had a wonderful Easter weekend! My parents and Michelle and Matt came to spend the weekend with us. We put the boys to work and they drywalled our little garage addition. It looks great and we are waiting to get it taped so Bob can start moving his guy things out there. We need to make his work room into a spare bedroom and we still have a bunch of work a head of us!
Matt and Michelle aren't able to make it to Maddie's 3rd birthday party on April 17th so they brought her her present early. She LOVED her new Cinderella baby and makes sure to sleep with her every night. Maddie loves her auntie and uncle and when they are around, she wants nothing to do with us!
This was the first year that we colored eggs with Maddie and we had a lot of fun! I love that she is getting a little older and we can do more fun projects together! Grammy and Papa spoiled her with an Easter basket too and loved all of her fun new treats!
We all went to church Easter morning and Matt and my Dad hid eggs outside for Maddie to find when we got home. It was fun to watch her get so excited everytime she found another egg. It would have been more fun for us adults if it wouldn't have been so windy and cold. Here are a few pictures of us after church....
Family of three...soon to be four!!!
I couldn't help but think about how next year I will be able to dress both of our girls in frilly little Easter dresses! It still doesn't seem real and we are thrilled to have another baby in our house!

I really enjoyed our Easter service at church! Our pastor had talked about new beginnings and about keeping your relationships with your spouse, children and God in check. It is my goal to be a better wife, mother and Christian and I have to remember to what is truly important in this short life that we have.
After our Easter egg hunt, Maddie had to come inside and check out all of the goodies that were inside the egss. There were mostly jellybeans and some other candy, but the big hit was the money that she found in the eggs. She grabbed her piggy bank and couldn't wait to fill it up!
My girl is getting so big and I can't believe that she will already be 3 years old! I liked this picture because she still has a little of a baby face. Time goes by so fast and I never want to wish these precious years away!

I'm a week late posting a pregnancy picture and I still need to take one at 23 weeks. I'm feeling great and can honestly say that I really enjoy being pregnant! There isn't a greater feeling then feeling our baby wiggle inside of me. What a miracle of life and I'm so blessed!
We had had a another crazy week at our house. I painted our bedroom, cleared out the basement bedroom and had new carpet installed in both rooms. We have been up late every night trying toget things done before Maddie's party this weekend. My parents and Bob's sister will be at our house Friday night and I have to have everything ready by then. So much to do and I'm looking forward to putting my feet up for a bit next week:)

Ball and Baby
We had another ultrasound today and everything looked great! I was glad the we got confirmation that we are having another GIRL!!!! We are really excited and can't wait to meet her in August! The baby weighs about 15.8 oz and is right on track for a due date of Aug. 1oth.
Last week I finished painting the basement wall that the boys drywalled and our new carpet goes in tomorrow. I can't wait for it to be done and get everything back in order. This weekend my parents and Michelle and Matt will be here for Easter. Bob is going to put the boys to work as he tries to finish putting up the drywall in our garage. We have so many projects to finish before the baby comes. I know we need to do them one at a time but I'm not very patient and want it all done yesterday. Bob has been working really hard to get things done and I appreciate and love him so much!

Another busy few weeks...
Yes, I know that I'm huge but very glad that I fell so good. Our ultrasound is next week and I hope that we will get a definite answer on the gender of the baby. I'm still going with girl until I'm told otherwise. Bob and I have started talking about names but it's always a hard thing for us. We still have some time and I'm sure we will agree on one before the baby is born.
